Analog Audio
- When we hold a microphone up in the air and screen, the microphone connects the changes in the air and connects into a electric voltage. This is known as analog signal.
- Analog audio when plotted on a paper it would look like a graph.
- The recording is done on a magnatic tape for further play modes.
- The output device for an analog sound is a simple speakers.
- The quality of the sound output is less.
- Editing a analog audio piece is quite difficult and time consuming and less accurate.
Digital Audio
- Digital audio is a technological process whereby an analog audio is first converted into a continuous stream of numbers. This is known as digital audio.
- But where as digital audio give the output in series of 0 & 1.
- The recording done on a hard disk or any media which supports digital format.
- The output device of a digitized audio is amplified speakers which are built in.
- Here the sound quality is excellent.
- Digital audio editing gives high quality output with less complexity and less time consuming. Accuracy level is high.
