KSA is a package which runs on windows NT Server. KSA is an extensive and well supported commercial package that runs on windows NT Server. KSA examines your server system and then presents you with 3D bar charts in the following six major categories:
(i) Account Restrictions - Assesses password controls, use of logon scripts and password expiration dates.
(ii) Password Strength - Rates your password policies. A future version will include a password cracking dictionary to show you how easily your passwords can be guessed.
(iii) Access Control - Checks user rights and removable drive allocations.
(iv) System Monitoring - Collects together a miscellaneous set of security related concerns.
(v) Data Integrity - Checks the UPS installation and configuration.
(vi) Data Confidentiality - Tests to see if passowords are stored in clear text or in encrypted form.
KSA's Report Manager is easy to use and offers almost 30 reports. Data can be exported in the usual database formats. KSA creates no accounts or services. To use it you must be logged in as the administratior. Although once the analysis is complete the results can be shared with all user who have access to the system. KSA takes an instant snapshot of the state of your system.
